🧺 Basket — Privacy Policy

Basket ("the extension") is built to keep your data yours. This policy explains what the extension does and does not do with your information.

What Basket stores, and where

• Text snippets and screenshots you collect are stored locally in your browser using Chrome's extension storage. They never leave your device unless you explicitly send or copy them somewhere.
• Basket has no servers of its own, no user accounts, and collects no analytics about you or the content you collect.

When Basket touches a web page

• Basket reads a page's selected text or captures a screenshot region only at the moment you invoke it via the right-click menu or a keyboard shortcut.
• When you click a "Send to" button, Basket inserts your collected context into the chat input of the AI site you chose (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok, or DeepSeek). It does not read or modify those sites for any other purpose.
• Basket does not track your browsing history.

Payments (Basket Pro)

Pro subscriptions are processed by ExtensionPay and Stripe. When you purchase, you provide your email address and payment details directly to them; Basket itself never sees or stores your payment card information. The email you use at checkout is used solely to verify your subscription status. Stripe's privacy policy is available at stripe.com/privacy.

Data sharing and selling

We do not sell, rent, or share any of your data with third parties. There is nothing to sell — your collected content stays on your device.

Data removal

Deleting a snippet, clearing your basket, or uninstalling the extension permanently removes the locally stored data. To delete payment records, contact us or ExtensionPay.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes materially, the "Last updated" date above will change and significant changes will be noted in the extension's release notes.
